A Walking Tour of Kyoto
Last Sunday Reena and I took the"bullet train" or Shinkansen to Kyoto. This super-fast train cut the travel time to Kyoto from 8 hours to 2 hours and 50 minutes. When we arrived there we did our own walking tour to get our bearings. We were in the Southeast part of Kyoto near the Higashiyama Mountains. We walked the pathway along the mountains which is dotted with many shrines. Here we caught our one and only glimpse of Geisha.
