Free Pony Rides Anyone?

We went to Yoyogi Park the other day to check out the pony rides. We went there with my friend Asa, her husband Satoru, and daughter Mayu. Whenever Mia and Mayu get together, there's always a lot of heckling going on. Here's the little ladies making their silliest faces. Oh yeah--that's Mia's lithe papa in the background...



We were quite surprised to find out that the pony rides were free. The kids had at least 3 rides a piece. The arena was pretty empty that day, so we felt like we were getting a private riding lesson.



They even let Rhett take the saddle. His first solo pony ride---no parents allowed! He didn't seem phased at all by leaving his parents behind. He liked the little pink handlebar that he could grip on to.

Mia was a great big sister, helping Rhett on and off of the pony.

After the rides you can feed the ponies. We brought carrots. Mia and Mayu thought this was the crowning glory of the pony rides.
