Piles of leaves--Tokyo 2008

Fall is here in Tokyo. Monday was a national holiday---officially called "Labor Thanksgiving Day"...go figure. So, with a free day from work and school we headed to Komaba Park to take in the fall colors. We found piles and piles of leaves.

Our friends Miyuki and her son Kotaro-kun met us there.

Not surprisingly, Mia was ready for a celebration in the leaves...

I laid down in the middle of it all and gave the kids a good target.

If you can't beat'em, join'em!

At the end we were pretty dirty, but oh so happy.

Speaking of dirty, note the dirt/leaves on my teeth and in my nose...mmmm....good.

Happy Fall and Thanksgiving to You!

Nothing like a good old fashioned leaf battle.

I've never seen dirty leaves look like so much fun! It snow next? We're getting a good dump in Seattle! Time for snowmen!
