Mia's 6th Birthday

Why here's the little firefighter herself. This summer we held Mia's 6th birthday at Woodland Park and we had the firefighters show up in their shiny red engine. Here's Mia in full turnout gear.


Two engines showed up, this one for the parents...




...and another festooned with balloons for the kids.

The best part was that Mia got to see some friends that she hadn't seen for over a year. When you live in Tokyo, those Seattle play-dates are hard to come by.

I got to ride on the back fender with my dear friend Judy. We sang, caroused, and did our fair share of heckling as we cruised around Greenlake with the kids.
