Carving Pumpkins

Today Mayu and her mother came over for our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving. Last year was the first time either of them had ever carved a pumpkin and they were happy to keep the tradition going this year.

We got our pumpkins imported from the states via Costco. The Japanese don't grow this type of pumpkin here. They grow a smaller, squatter, green eating pumpkin.

Once the pumpkins were carved, the girls and Rhett got into costumes to "practice" trick-or-treating. We moms knew this was a thinnly disguised ploy to eat Halloween candy, but we did it anyways...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
