Ninja Mania

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja

Our friends Linnea, Bill and their children Max and Lily just visited us from Seattle, Washington. Having them here was just like being at home. In fact, it made me a little homesick for the Pacific Northwest.

Mia and Max got along perfectly and were great partners in crime.

One of our favorite memories was seeing a ninja show at a local amusement park. Mia and Max got their pictures taken with the ninja cast. Max was even brought up on stage to receive prizes for winning a paper, rock, and scissors contest. He was totally unfazed by being on stage and spoken to only in Japanese...what a cool kid.

It only seemed fitting for me to suit them up in ninja clothes. Once in character, the ninjas went wild...

Just for the record, Mia and Max were dressed as ninjas and not young Al-Queda devotees...I promise!

They even tried to indoctrinate the wee ones, Rhett and Lily.

But Rhett was more interested in eating a sweet rice cracker the size of his head...

The next morning, Mia and Max woke up at 5:30am to don their new duds again. They put on ninja shows for anyone awake, namely me.

Max was a powerful, sword dueling ninja...

Mia channeled the gymnastic aspect of the ninja ways...

And let's not forget those baby ninja moves!!!

To the Mahoney-Schaffers...we love you and miss you dearly!

Nice camera work on the Baby Ninjas, ATM. Move over, Tarantino (not to be confused with Tarrant). Lots of fun.

Just because I said it was the best post ever doesn't mean that I'm not ready for another one! Kris
