The biggest joy of going to Kyoto was meeting Margaret's extended family. Her
niece, Emily is married to Taro--who was born in Kyoto and has family there. We met Taro's Aunt and Uncle,
Keiko and
Toshihiro. They were so kind to us. They toured us around the temples of Kyoto, shared lavish dinners and lunches with us, and were completely delightful company throughout.
On our walking tour of Kyoto, it rained non-stop. They even provided umbrellas for Margaret and I.
