Our final night in Kyoto was a memorable one. Toshihiro and Keiko took us out for a wonderful French dinner. They knew the owner and she made a private dinner just for us, as she was officially closed that day. This was followed by a trip to booze.K to meet another relative, Ko-chan (Keiko's brother). Ko-chan owns the bar "booze.K".

As you can see, Ko-chan is about the friendliest barkeep around. This little bar is teeny-tiny and seats a maximum of eight people.

We felt just like locals at this little hotspot. It reminded me of the "Bird's Nest" bar outside of Anchorage, Alaska.

Ko-chan sereneded us with a ukulele ditty...

We also met some of his regular customers that he'd known for decades. This little jazz bar was a gem.

If you are ever in Kyoto, give booze.K a call. He will give you directions to his place...
