Snow in Tokyo

While all you Americans were readying yourselves for the Superbowl, we were enjoying snow in Tokyo. It snowed earlier this year, but only a skiff that soon melted. Yesterday we woke up to snowy skies and it continued throughout the day. Many locals remarked that they had never seen so much snow in Tokyo. It certainly shut the city down and traffic was at a standstill.

We thought we would celebrate by going to nearby Shoto Park.

Instead of a snowman, we found a snow-kitty, replete with a dried hydrangea scarf and camelia leaves for eyes and a petal for it's pink nose...only in Japan!

Our family soon got busy making our own snowman.

Then we were homeward bound for hot cocoa and a warm bath.

Your snow looks jubilant! We can't buy a flake here but there's been snow all around us. Kris at jdrothatfoldedspacedotorg
