Pool time!

We've just set up our pool in the little courtyard of our house. Here's my sweet and obedient (ha!) daughter and her friend Alex from school. They are the two gai-jin (foreign) kids in the class. Since they are the only English speakers, they hit it off quite well. Alex has been here for 2 years and is fluent in Japanese. He helps her out at school when she doesn't understand.


As you can tell, they are the best of buddies. He helps her with Japanese and she helps him climb trees, look for bugs, play on the jungle gym...




Here they are doing some simple physics experiments...

Sorry about the male nudity, but Rhett was so pleased to be diaper-free in the great outdoors. He was just beaming.

Then he started drumming with the sieve. Does that baby have 6-pack abs? Like father, like son.
