Here is the famous Hachiko statue at Shibuya station. Hatchiko was a lovely Akita dog who belonged to a Japanese professor. In the 1920s, Hachiko accompanied his owner to and from the train station. One day his owner died while at the university. Every day after work Hachiko continued to wait for him at the train station. He loyally did this for 10 years until he himself died. Nowadays people meet at Hachiko statue because he's an easy reference point to find, especially because Shibuya is such a bustling place. We love Hachiko!

Here's Aaron near Shibuya Station. This is a main hub for virtually any kind of transit to go anywhere in Japan. You can take the metro, train, or bus from here. The station itself has restaurants, a grocery store, boutiques, bakery and a department store. It's absolutely huge! You can find anything you need there. The station is 5 minutes away from our home.

Here we are at home---the two nuts who decided to move to Tokyo with our kids for a couple years. Our friend Dean Falvy was here for work and he took this picture of us. Our first official visitor---Thanks Dean!
