Pretty Cure Ga Dai Suki!

For those of you out there who do not know about the latest craze in school-girl pop culture in Japan...let me introduce you to "Pretty Cure", also known familiarly as just "Pre-Cure".

Pre-Cure is a group of five junior high school friends who also happen to be super heroines fighting evil.

They all have brilliantly colored hair and super-cool names. Mia and her friends LOVE watching, playing, reading anything Pre-Cure.

Last weekend Mia and Mayu-chan got to see a live performance of Pre-Cure at Keio University's 150th Anniversary(our friend Asa's alma mater).

Here's "DREAM"...

"MINT"...

"AQUA"...

Dream and Rouge fighting the evil scorpion guy...

"LEMONADE"...

The whole Pretty Cure cast bidding us farewell...

Afterwards we had fresh okonomiyaki for lunch...a kind of savory, cabbage pancake. Yummy!

Thanks to Asa and Mayu for inviting us to the Pretty Cure Fest! Arigato, ne!
