Bazaar no Yakisoba Gak-kari

Every year, Mia's school has a bazaar in the fall. It's basically a school fair where there are games, puppet shows, food, and children's clothes for sale. This year I was on the "Grilled Noodle Committee" otherwise known as the "Yakisoba Gak-kari". Here's our team gearing up to make 800 plates of noodles (I am not kidding, 800!)

Aaron was asked to be one of the yakisoba chefs. The Japanese couldn't believe that he had never cooked noodles like this before, they said he was a natural.

Noodles galore!

Mia was a big fan of the "Cotton Candy Committee".

Some of the clothes for sale, the most expensive pieces costing a whopping 150 yen, about $1.50.

Other kid's goods for sale.

The bazaar was a huge success and has been a highlight of our fall.

Yakisoba looks yummy. Hail to the chefs. I'm ready for lunch.

I can't believe Aaron cooked yakisoba like a pro. There's a big box of ready-made yakisoba noodles at costco now, waiting for his return.
