Nozawa Onsen

http://www.nozawaski.com/winter/search/index-e.php

A couple weekends ago we packed up our snow gear and headed to the mountains. We went to Nozawa Onsen, known for its ski slopes and natural hot spring baths. It's located near Nagano, host of the 1998 Winter Olympics. Here's Aaron and I kickin' back on the ski lift up the mountain.

Mia made her debut in ski school, in Japanese, no less.

Rhett romped around in the snow...

...as did his dad.

We were there for two days. By the end of each day the kids were totally wiped out. Here's Aaron carting two asleep kids back to our ski chalet. We stayed at a German inn, run by a Japanese family. They catered to our every need and even made vegetarian meals for Aaron. The inn was located spitting distance from the ski lift and had it's own hot spring bath...it doesn't get much better than that.

After lunch and a hot bath, the kids were ready for the ride home.

We had so much fun that we are actually going back Easter weekend to do it all over again!
Happy Easter to you.
