Hoshigumi no Christmas Party

Today we went to a Christmas Party for Mia's class. School ended for her last Tuesday, so this was a nice way to get the class together again for a final farewell in 2007. One of the mothers hosted it at her home. This is the table set for 21 kids!!!

Mia found her place setting. The party was a blast. The kids were very polite and sat down together for a nice lunch. Then the hosting father made a toast to the class and they all sipped their "champagne". Later on the dad did magic tricks which were a huge hit.

My and Mia's favorite thing were these remote controlled Kubutomushis. You pit these little armored beetles against each other. The goal is to force your opponent out of the ring. Kind of like beetle sumo wrestling. Mia was a champ at this.

Thanks to Auntie Leah sending us extra candy for Mia's class, we made gift bags of Christmas candy for all the kids to bring home. Thank you Leah! Domo!

We actually are starting to do a lot of work in China. Check out the blog, www.chinalawblog.com. Anyway glad to hear and see all is well. Helen and the girls are well. All very busy. Hope to talk to you soon. Charles Moure.
